CONFIRMED – Lexus Bringing All-New Sports Coupe to Tokyo Motor Show

The wrapper officially came off the highly anticipated Lexus RC coupe today, as the first official photos of the vehicle were released via Lexus USA’s Facebook page.  The post also confirmed that the RC coupe will make its official world debut at the Tokyo Motor Show on November 20, 2013.

Two RC models will be on display – RC 350 with a naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6, and a hybrid version, the RC 300h that makes use of the same 2.5-liter Atkinson-cycle inline four cylinder powerplant found in the IS 300h (sold internationally outside the US, for now).

In design, the RC coupe is very dynamic, with very alluring curves, a muscular stance, and an unmistakable presence, thanks in part to the Spindle Grille up front.  Inside, the RC shares a lot with the current-generation Lexus IS sedan, but introduces new componentry that will eventually be found throughout the rest of the Lexus lineup, like the next-generation Remote Touch interface that makes use of a track-pad versus a cursor knob.

We’ll bring you more information on the RC as it becomes available.  Stay up to date by becoming a fan of the Mungenast Lexus of St. Louis Facebook page, and by subscribing to our blog.
